Excerpt from Facts About Patents: How Obtained Their Cost; Treating Also of Designs, Trade-Marks, Etc Every inventor or manufacturer who contemplates applying for a patent or is about to engage in patent litigation, naturally desires to know something of the ability and qualifications of the attorney whom he retains, and that you may appreciate my personal qualifications for the transaction of the diversified branches of patent business, I point you to the fact that for more than ten years I have been continuously and actively engaged in preparing and prosecuting applications for patents, during which time I have also been engaged in rendering expert opinions as to questions of validity and infringement of patents, and have also had the consideration and determination of the many other matters constantly coming before an active practitioner. I am a graduate of Columbian University, which institution has conferred upon me the degree of "Master of Patent Law," and in addition I am also a member of the bar of the Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia, and also the Supreme Court, and as an incident thereto I practice before all the Federal Courts throughout the United States.
